this is where, if there is any business to be handled by all of the staff members of the school, the large group of them will meet. the entrance is located behind the high table in the dining hall, and there is a portrait there to which you must whisper a password to be granted entry.

! the dining hall !
on the right side of the entrance hall, there is a large archway that you are to be ushered through for sorting and the feast. all feasts held for the students and staff of the school are to be held here, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day and the sorting ceremony at the beginning of each term.
